The actor's ongoing legal dispute over the 2024 film 'It Ends With Us' has reportedly strained high-profile relationships, including her ties to Swift.

Blake Lively is seeking approximately $8 million in legal fees and costs from actor and director Justin Baldoni, following the resolution of a dispute surrounding their 2024 film "It Ends With Us." The amount, detailed in a July 1 court filing, includes nearly $7.5 million in attorney's fees and $500,000 in additional expenses.

A judge ruled in June 2026 that Lively was entitled to recover legal costs after Baldoni filed a countersuit against her. Lively's initial sexual harassment claims were previously dismissed by the court, which cited her status as an independent contractor during the production.

The legal proceedings have coincided with reported shifts in Lively's personal networks. Multiple outlets have reported that Lively's long-standing friendship with musician Taylor Swift has ended. According to reports, Swift was dissatisfied with being drawn into the public dispute between Lively and Baldoni.

The reported estrangement was underscored over the early July weekend, when Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, did not attend Swift and Travis Kelce's rumored wedding festivities in New York City. Instead, Lively and Reynolds were reported to be in Lake Placid, New York, attending their daughter's horse show.

While the court has validated Lively's pursuit of legal costs, the extended dispute has drawn increased scrutiny to her public standing. Observers note that the protracted legal battle has inadvertently tested and strained Lively's high-profile alliances, exposing the fragility of her public persona even as she remains attached to upcoming projects such as the action-comedy "The Survival List."
